Tampa Cricket league is a senior and junior cricket leaue comprising of players in and around Tampa Bay area.
It was initially started with 4 teams in 2007, which wanted to play competetive games every weekend at their convenience in different fields. Gradually that took a positive momentum and turned into a full fledged league .It has grown in stature ever since.
In 2012 after coordinating with Hillsborough County Parks and recreation TCL obtained dedicated cricket grounds with well laid out pitches.
In Sep 17th 2016 TCL kick started the youth coaching clinic with ICC certified level 2 coach and has been growing ever since, with 42 kids/youths participating in leather ball and synthetic ball coaching clinics in the current edition.
In 2019 April TCL hosted USA under 19 head coach Mr.Anand Tummala and initiated a long term plan for youth development program . TCL also hosted American Coaching Foundation coaching trainer Mr.Jatin Patel to train and certify its youth coaches.
TamapCricketLeague's 2019 second edition had 41 teams participating in it with two divisions
2020 Edition 1 was impacted by Covid and had to be abandoned in the middle. 2020 Edition 2 was started in September wth 35 teams participating in it.
In 2021 TCL organized a 4 city U15 Youth tournament which had teams from Atlanta, GA, Bloomington , OH, Orlando ,FL and Tampa ,FL participate in it. Orlando Panthers won the rournament. Since then, multiple youth tournaments such as MLC Junior and Elite Junior tournamenrts were hosted in Tampa.
2024 Edition 1 has 64 teams participating in the adult league.
